12U Canes Head To 2012 High Heat Kings Memorial Day Tournament

The 12U Hamden Hurricanes will travel to Bellerose, NY this weekend to participate in the High Heat Kings 12u Memorial Day Tournament. The two-day tournament features eight teams each playing two pool play games on Saturday followed by a seeded single-elimination playoff on Sunday. Teams will be seeded by record and defensive runs allowed following the 2 pool play games Saturday.

Hamden will face off against the Long Island Lookouts and the host High Heat Kings in Saturday's pool play. The Hurricanes will play those games back to back starting at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Other teams entered include the Troy Renegades, USC Knights, Bronx Bombers (hopefully not the Yankees), Long Island Ducks, and Long Island Titans.

The quarterfinal games will be played on Sunday, May 28 at 9 and 11:30 a.m. The semifinal games will start at 2:00 p.m. with the championship title slated for Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
