The Hamden Hurricanes 13U (23-5-1, 18-3-1 GNHBL) were eliminated from the 2012 War at the Shore Independence Day Tournament Monday morning when they lost to the Milford Raiders of the East Shore Travel Baseball League 8-4 in the quarterfinal round. Tamir March (4-1) worked for the third straight day but was the tough luck loser on this day. Avery Shugrue worked 1 2/3 innings to start the game but had to leave the game due to arm pain.
